| This was my third year performing at Traditions at the Glen’s New Year’s Eve party and by far the best yet!

For an event like this, the typical setup time is about 4 hours. That gives us time to set up the main sound system, the video screens, the photo booth, and the uplighting fixtures. For this event there was a second room outside the main ballroom where guests could gather, so that means running extra speakers. We have the ability to do this wirelessly, but at this venue the speakers have to be too far from the main sound system for a reliable wireless signal, and that means running cable. 175 feet of cable, to be exact!
Usually it’s just me doing the bulk of this work but for larger shows there will be a second person to help out with the photo booth and the lighting. Once all of the main equipment is set everything is thoroughly tested and the finishing touches are put on any custom video presentations and monograms, and finally the light show is tweaked. After all that it’s time to get changed and mentally prepared to perform. We think all the effort is worth it, which is why we do all of this at every single event we do!
